p.s. my all time favorite tradition is spending Christmas morning handing out socks and hats to the homeless men and women of seattle.  it has been the best part of our family Christmas for several years.  fills my heart.

and one of my new favorite traditions: taking oliver tree huntin. he hearts it. i heart him. it all works out.
uncle tyler and uncle eddie were very helpful in pointing out picture perfect, martha-worthy trees.

p.s.s. if you haven't checked out bebe avery's newborn pics yet, see them (here).
she will make you smile.

  3. I love the Christmas holidays being able to spend time with my family and friends. I love to see the smile on my kids face as they open their gifts. I love to buy gifts for people and seeing their smile.

  4. You'd think after twenty-six years of marriage we'd have a particular favorite for the holiday tradition question but really our favorite is starting new traditions and I think our new favorite will be the gathering of as many distant family members for the season as possible. Family and Christmas--what could be better?
Lovely photos and yes, I hope I win your contest as it would be a pleasant God send. :)

  8. Hello sis! Family is probably exempt... but I'm entering anyway. :) I have a few favorite Christmas memories- First- as a child, waking up evey year with my siblings to snuggle into our parents bed- morning breath and all- until we all went down to see what santa left us. Second- the Christmas Eve my best friend and now husband got down on one knee in front of Christmas lights and asked me to spend eternity with him. Of course one of my more recent favs is feeding the needy on the streets of Seattle each Christmas morning. Love you! That'll be one veeeeeery lucky winner!
