blue suede shoes

shoooooooooes. this is what o calls his new shoes. he loooooves them.

is it just me or are the boxes they come in almost as cute as the little toddler shoes themselves?!!! 

i adore the little boxes and the little shoes. and of course the little chubby feet that get to wear the fun shoooooooooes. the little boxes are a reminder of how fast time flies. i recall buying shoes in itty bitty boxes half the size of these as if it were just yesterday. 

we celebrated madison's birthday this weekend. she is super sweet as can be, hip, vibrant, gorgeous, sporty, fun, kind, generous, and (perfectly) spunky. 

and she is officially in the double digits!

madison was kind enough to let one very curious oliver borrow her new birthday skateboard and helmet.  

i think we have a future skater on our hands. 

i am feeling especially grateful for my fabulous family tonight and for all the time we were able to spend with many of them this weekend. so much fun. very thankful for the break in the rain as well.
